Barn Near St. Bonifacius Destroyed In Fire

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- There were no reports of injuries but a barn was destroyed in a fire west of the Twin Cities Wednesday afternoon.

Firefighters were called to the blaze at a farm at 9450 W. Hill Road in Minnetrista, which is just north of St. Bonifacius. Witnesses at the scene said the fire was contained to a barn and nobody was inside at the time. When crews arrived, the barn was completely engulfed in flames.

Authorities say it was a pole barn, some equipment inside was destroyed. There were no animals or people inside the barn at the time.

Several agencies responded to the scene. Aerial footage from the scene showed that the barn is a total loss.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
