Twin Cities Fast Food Workers Walk Off Job

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Hundreds of people rallied today to demand higher pay.

Fast food workers in Minneapolis and St. Paul walked off the job as part of a day of strikes. They're demanding a minimum wage of $15 an hour, the right to form a union, and paid sick time.

The demonstrators say they're encouraged by recent minimum wage increases in California, New York, and Pennsylvania. After a rally in Minneapolis this evening, protesters closed off Lake Street and the exit from I-35W for about a half hour.
