Authorities: Car Strikes & Injures Employee At St. Paul Car Wash

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- An employee of a St. Paul car wash is in the hospital after a crash incident Friday, according to a St. Paul fire official.

St. Paul Fire Marshal Steve Zaccard says a car was exiting the car wash at the Downtowner Car Wash, located on 520 7th St E, when it hit a wall where an employee was standing, injuring the employee.

The employee, who Zaccard says suffered a leg or hip injury, was alert and conscious after the incident. He or she was then taken to Regions Hospital.

Zaccard said no special extrication was needed and the entire incident was over in a matter of minutes.
