Car Hits Light Pole In North Minneapolis, 1 Hurt

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Authorities say one person was hospitalized early Sunday morning after a car struck a light pole in north Minneapolis.

Minneapolis police were called to the incident at about 2:30 a.m. near the intersection of Fremont and 22nd Avenues North. When officers arrived, a vehicle had hit a light pole and one person had to be taken to a hospital. The extent of that person's injuries is not known.

A witness at the scene said somebody in another vehicle was shooting at the car before it hit the light pole.

The incident is under investigation.
