Minnesota Man Sentenced To 5 Years In Fargo Bank Robbery

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — A Minnesota man who robbed a bank in North Dakota has been sentenced to more than five years in federal prison.

Authorities say Jeremy Fahleen, of Litchfield, Minnesota, entered a Gate City Bank in Fargo in April 2015, handed a clerk a threatening note demanding money and fled with nearly $7,300 in cash. He was arrested the next day in St. Cloud, Minnesota.

Fahleen pleaded guilty to bank robbery last November. U.S. Attorney Christopher Myers says Fahleen was sentenced Monday to serve five years and three months in prison and pay about $3,800 in restitution.

Myers says authorities recovered the rest of the money when Fahleen was arrested.
