Police Advisory: Woman Reports Being Molested In Uptown

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police in Minneapolis have issued an advisory after a woman said she was molested over the weekend in Uptown by a man who approached her on the street.

The woman reported that after bar close early Sunday morning she was walking home near Lake Street West and Colfax Avenue South when a man got off his bike and started following her.

She said the man walked beside her and grabbed hold of her, claiming he was helping her because she was drunk. While doing this, the man reached under her clothes and molested her.

The woman described the man as being Native American with a thin build, anywhere from 20-35 years of age, with a black ponytail that stretched to his armpits.

He rode a dark-colored "street bike" with straight handlebars.

Anyone with information on the crime asked to call the Minneapolis Police Department's sex crimes unit at 612-673-3081.
