Mpls. Police: Group Of 5 Sexually Assaulted Female Victim

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Minneapolis police have issued an advisory after a female victim was sexually assaulted by a group of male suspects on the south side of the city.

On Saturday at 9 p.m., the female victim reported that she was walking when a group of males called her over to their vehicle. After she spoke with them for a bit, she walked away.

A short time later, the group approached her on foot, brought her to an area of 32nd Street West and Blaisdell Avenue South, and sexually assaulted her there.

The group has been described by police as dark skinned Somali males, with one man in his 50s, three men in their late teens and one boy in his mid-teens.

The suspect vehicle is described as a small four-door vehicle black in color with tinted windows and a gray/silver interior.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Sex Crimes unit at 612-673-3081 and reference case number 16-082076.
