MNfusion: Mumford & Sons Receive Woolen Blanket From Faribault, Xcel
Minnesotans are a tough people, but even the hardiest of us all can sometimes need a little extra warmth.
It makes sense then that one of Minnesota's oldest companies makes woolen blankets.
It also makes sense then that for its Minnesota-made gift to British rock group Mumford & Sons the Xcel Energy Center is giving them a blanket from said establishment.
On April 21, Mumford & Sons is heading to St. Paul for its "An Arrow Through The Heartland" tour, and the Xcel as a gift gave them a custom embroidered blanket from Faribault Woolen Mill.
The 150-year-old company is known for its blankets and has been a Minnesota staple since the 1800s.
The custom blanket features an American flag pattern with a set of crisscrossing arrows on the bottom corner.
Mumford & Sons is appearing at the Xcel Energy Center, along with special guest Blake Mills, on Thursday, April 21. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Prior to the concert there will be a happy hour at Xcel Energy Center Gate 1 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
