Transcript Of Prince's 911 Call Released

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Carver County Sheriff's Office has released the transcript of the 911 call placed Thursday morning at Paisley Park.

Deputies arrived at the Chanhassen complex just before 9:45 a.m., and Prince was pronounced dead about 25 minutes later.

Dispatcher 1: 911, where is your emergency?

Unidentified Male At Paisley Park: Hi there, um, what's the address, here? Yea we need an ambulance right now.

D1: Okay.

UM: We have someone who is unconscious.

D1: Ok, what's the address?

UM: Um, we're at Prince's house.

D1: Okay, does anybody know the address? Is there any mail around that you could look at?

UM: Yea, yea, okay, hold on.

D1: Okay, your cell phone's not going to tell me where you're at, so I need you to find me an address.

UM: Yea, we have um, yea, we have um, so, yeah, um, the person is dead here.

D1: Okay, get me the address please.

UM: Okay, okay, I'm working on it.

D1: Concentrate on that.

UM: And the people are just distraught.

D1: I understand that they are distraught, but …

UM: I'm working on it, I'm working on it.

D1: Okay, do we know how the person died?

UM: I don't know, I don't know.

D1: Okay.

UM: Um, so we're, we're in Minneapolis, Minnesota and we are at the home of Prince.

D1: You're in Minneapolis?

UM: Yea, Minneapolis, Minnesota.

D1: You're sure you are in Minneapolis?

UM: That's correct.

EC: Okay, have you found an address yet?

UM: Yea, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry I need, I need the address here?

Unidentified Female: 7801.

UM: 7801.

D1: 7801 what?

UM: Paisley Park, we are at Paisley Park.

D1: You're at Paisley Park, okay, that's in Chanhassen. Are you with the person who's …

UM: Yes, it's Prince.

D1: Okay.

UM: The person.

D1: Okay, stay on the line with me.

UM: Okay.

[Phone ringing]
[Ambulance dispatcher joins call]

D1: Carver with the transfer for Paisley Park Studios, 78 …

AD: Paisley Park Studios, okay.

D1: 7801 Audubon Road.

AD: Okay.

D1: We have a person down, not breathing.

AD: Down, not breathing.

D1: Yup.

UM: He's, he's …

D1: We're going to get everybody, go ahead with the transmittal sir.

[Second Carver County dispatcher joins call]

AD: … you can cancel anybody going to Audubon, confirmed DOA.

D2: Okay, thank you.

AD: All right, thanks, bye.

The Midwest Medical Examiner's Office will investigate Prince's cause of death.
