Audio Released From Prince's Emergency Landing In Illinois

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The audio from the call made when Prince's jet made an emergency landing just weeks ago has now been released.

After returning from a show in Atlanta on April 14, his private jet unexpectedly landed in Illinois on its way back to Minnesota, and the singer was rushed to the hospital.

Airport officials told WCCO emergency personnel responded to an "unresponsive passenger," who was then taken to a local hospital. Prince's publicist later said he was treated for flu-like symptoms.

It was last Thursday when paramedics found Prince unresponsive in an elevator at Paisley Park. Medics performed CPR, but were unsuccessful.

Authorities say there were no obvious signs of trauma and Prince was alone when he died. An autopsy was conducted Friday, but authorities say it could be weeks before the cause of death is determined.

Prince was 57 years old.
