After Prince's Death, Fans Flood YouTube With Videos

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Throughout his career, Prince was notoriously strict with his music and image. For years, fans struggled to find Prince performances on the internet, and those looking for his music had to hope their local record store had what they were looking for.

In the wake of his death, however, YouTube has been flooded with Prince performances, interviews and other videos of the late superstar.

Prince's full interview with Larry King

This interview with Larry King is nearly 40 minutes long. Prince talks about his fans, his relationship with Warner Bros. and his name change.

Prince and the Revolution at the 1985 Grammys

This energetic performance of "Baby I'm A Star" surfaced just a couple days after Prince's death. While performances like this one were once a rarity, YouTube is now overflowing with them.

Prince kicks Kim Kardashian off stage

One of the most widely-shared videos since Prince's death, this one has nearly 8 million views on YouTube. It features Kim Kardashian joining Prince onstage, then him unceremoniously kicking her off when she refuses to dance. Prince had no patience for those who didn't want to get down.

SNL 40th Anniversary after party performance

Prince gives an impromptu, slower tempo performance of "Let's Go Crazy" at the after party for the "Saturday Night Live" 40th anniversary special. With cameos from Cuba Gooding Jr., Jimmy Fallon and Maya Rudolph, this video shows Prince letting loose, a side of him many never got to see.

"I Would Die 4 U" clip from "Purple Rain"

Like most of Prince's work, clips of "Purple Rain" were pretty much nonexistent on the internet before his death. Now, fans can enjoy this performance of one of his most iconic songs. Other clips from Prince's 1984 film debut have popped up in the last week as well.

First Avenue 1983 benefit concert 

For those who never got a chance to see Prince live, YouTube's got you covered. There's nothing like the real thing, obviously, but you can get a sense of his stage presence and why his performances were such an event. Prince covers Jimi Hendrix

While no one could doubt Prince's musical chops, people aren't always aware of what an incredible guitarist he was. This cover of "Red House" proves that Prince could stand with the best of them, including Jimi himself.
