Carver Co. Sheriff: Callers Said Prince Had Living Son, Cocaine Habit

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Carver County Sheriff's Office has released records of more of the calls for service made at Paisley Park over the past five years.

According to records released by the sheriff's office Tuesday, records show two calls claiming Prince had a son, and another caller claiming concern over alleged drug abuse.

Additionally, the records show that there was a medical call made in 2013 for a 53-year-old man who was taken to Two Twelve Medical Center in Chaska for dehydration. A source who worked with Prince said it appeared likely that call would have been for the musician.

On June 20, 2011, a female caller told authorities that she was concerned about Prince's cocaine habit. She said he told her the previous year in Germany that he cannot control his habit and that she was advised to report it.

On Jan. 26, 2015, a caller needed a message delivered to Prince regarding a mutual son who was having open heart surgery. The incident was closed after the reporting party was told sheriff's office wouldn't be conducting any kind of third party messaging for her and Prince.

Then, on the April 21, 2016 -- the day Prince died -- a woman called and claimed she had a child with prince, a 17-year-old boy, and wants her son to attend the funeral. She wanted a deputy to go to Paisley Park and have someone call her. The sheriff's office left a message for Paisley Park staff and she was advised.

It was not made clear if the two reports of an alleged son are about the same person. Prince and his first wife, Mayte Garcia, had a son named Boy Gregory in 1996. He was born with Pfeiffer syndrome, and died about one week after his birth.

Also among the 911 calls documented:

— On Feb. 12, 2014, a woman called saying that since 2009, she had been receiving phone calls from a man who identified himself as Prince. She said the calls started after she listened to a Prince record and heard private information that only she could hear. Police advised her to tell the person who was calling her to stop.

— On Feb. 18, 2016, a female caller asked for a welfare check on Paisley Park, but it wasn't clear whom she wanted authorities to check on. Authorities said they didn't have enough information.

The calls included in the latest release were all attributed to "RP," which stands for "reporting party."

Deputies found Prince dead at his home on April 21. Autopsy results have not been released.
