Police: 1 Hospitalized, 1 Arrested In Minnetonka Shooting
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Minnetonka police have arrested a 29-year-old man in connection to a shooting Wednesday evening.
At 11:44 p.m., police officers responded to a shots fired report at the Overlook on the Creek apartments, located on 9731 Minnetonka Boulevard.
Upon arrival, officers found a man was suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen lying in the hallway. He was treated at the scene and then taken to the Hennepin County Medical Center. Police say his condition is unknown as of Thursday morning, but he is expected to survive.
The victim was able to tell police officers the name of suspect, a 29-year-old man. The suspect was later taken into custody without incident at his residence in Golden Valley, police said.
The suspect, who has not been identified, is being held at the police department and will later be taken to Hennepin County Jail.
Police say there are no more suspects in this incident.
