More Road Closures This Weekend Near Hennepin-Lyndale

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – More road closures are happening this weekend in Minneapolis near the already congested intersection of Hennepin and Lyndale.

City officials say that on Friday morning the exit ramp from Interstate 394 to Dunwoody Boulevard will close to traffic. This is one of the main ways into south Minneapolis from the western suburbs.

Additionally, another lane on the already restricted southbound Hennepin-Lyndale roadway will close. Expect heavy traffic in the area.

Both of the roadways are slated to reopen by Monday morning.

The city says the closures are necessary for crews to replace a sewer line.
