Mounds View High School Flips Switch On New Solar Panels
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A Twin Cities high school is generating power from a new source this week.
Mounds View High School flipped the switch on a rooftop solar project at the school Tuesday. It's part of a larger solar project at the school district that will eventually make its way to Island Elementary, Pike Lake Elementary, Irondale High School and Chippewa Middle School.
Officials with the solar company say the array is expected to save the district nearly $1 million over the next 25 years.
