Police: Man Breaks Into Home, Gets Beaten Up By Homeowner

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Officials in central Minnesota say a man is facing burglary and assault charges after breaking into home Monday morning without any clothes on and getting into a fight with the homeowner.

Tyler Janovsky, 33, of Waseca, is being held on charges of first-degree burglary and second-degree assault, the Otter Tail County Sheriff's Office said.

According to a police report, officers responded to a 911 call shortly after 7 a.m. at a home in Otter Tail.

The caller said her husband confronted Janovsky in their basement, where he was found without clothes on. A fight ensued and both men suffered injuries, although Janovsky's were more significant.

The homeowner detained Janovsky until officers arrived. Police say they believe Janovsky was on drugs.

An ambulance brought Janovsky to a nearby hospital for treatment, and he was released later in the day.

Janovsky was booked in the Otter Tail County Detention Facility. He has an outstanding felony warrant from another jurisdiction, police say.
