GoFundMe Set Up For Man Burned In Barn Fire

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A GoFundMe page has been set up to help pay for expenses after a man was severely burned Monday morning trying to save horses from a barn fire.

The fire occurred at Grace Farms in St. Michael, destroying the main barn and killing three horses.

Chris and Becca Leatherdale lived on the farm and operated a business with the horses.

According to the GoFundMe page, Chris suffered third-degree burns on over 40 percent of his body as he tried to save the horses from the fire.

He is expected to be in the hospital for three to four months.

The GoFundMe page is asking the community to donate $12,000 to help cover Chris' recovery and help the Leatherdales rebuild their lives.
