Gas Prices This Holiday Weekend Expected To Be Lowest In A Decade

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The travel organization AAA says it's expecting more than 34 million Americans to hit the road this Memorial Day weekend as gas prices are the lowest they've been in more than a decade.

The average price of gasoline in Minnesota is $2.27, meaning that drivers in the state will see the lowest Memorial Day weekend pump prices in 11 years.

Across the nation, a total of 38 million people are expected to travel, with most people going by car. AAA expects about 700,000 more people to travel this year compared with last year.
