Study: People Who Take Selfies Believe They're More Attractive

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Many people like to take selfies -- and many people like to make fun of those people.

Now, a new study shows that people who constantly take selfies believe they're more attractive than they really are.

Researchers with the University of Toronto's psychology department had college kids take pictures of themselves and then asked them and strangers to rate their attractiveness and likeability.

The students thought they were more attractive and likeable than the strangers did.

Researchers also showed the strangers photos of the same students that were taken by other people. The public rated those pictures better than the selfies.
