4 Things To Do Today From Saturday, May 28, 2016

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Memorial Day weekend is here, and there is plenty to do to celebrate! Here are our top-four picks!

1. It's Jurassic Park at the zoo! The new dinosaurs exhibit opens Saturday at the Minnesota Zoo. Get face to face with life-size, moving and roaring dinosaurs like stegosaurus, brachiosaurus and even a T-Rex. Then of course you can check out the animals that survived extinction! Tickets are only $5.

2. Explore historic buildings, visit the costumed staff with great stories and learn about life in early Minnesota at Fort Snelling this weekend. Different eras of the U.S. military will be presented throughout. Kids can also try out the history scavenger hunt. Fort Snelling is open Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

3. How about some golf? Mini golf to be exact! The Walker Art Center course is now open -- featuring a giant hot dog, ping pong paddles, a chicken coop and more. The nine-hole course is up on the rooftop this year due to construction in the sculpture garden. It's open now through Sept. 4. Tickets are $12 for adults.

4. And why not take in a flick outside? The movie "Cars" will be playing Saturday night as part of the outdoor movie series in Woodbury. A two-story, inflatable screen with eight speakers will be set up at the Ojibway Park Bandshell. Bring you blanket and lawn chairs for seating. The free movies begin at dusk. Next Saturday, they'll be playing "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day."
