Twins Place Santana On DL; Recall Buxton
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Twins have placed outfielder Danny Santana on the 15-day disabled list after he strained his left hamstring in a loss against the Oakland Athletics Monday.
The Twins will replace Santana with Byron Buxton, who was optioned to Class AAA Rochester in late April.
Since the Twins optioned him, Buxton has hit .336 with nine doubles, two triples, six home runs and 14 RBI in 29 games. He was named International League Batter of the Week on Monday.
