Trial For Maine Man Accused Of Murder, Fleeing Pushed Back

PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — The trial of a Portland man charged with killing a man and fleeing to Minnesota has been pushed back.

Abdirahman Haji-Hassan was scheduled to appear in court for jury selection on Monday, but court officials say the case was continued.

A new date for the case has not yet been selected.

A local U.S Marshals Violent Crimes Task Force arrested Haji-Hassan in 2014 in Minneapolis and charged him with murder in the fatal shooting of Richard Lobor. He has pleaded not guilty.

Police have said Lobor was shot in the head and in the leg in an apartment in the city.
