Tinder App To Block Users Under 18

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Many use the dating app Tinder to find their next potential mate. Some of them are not over the age of 18, but that will all change starting next week.

Since its founding in 2012, Tinder had allowed users from ages 13 to 17 to use its app for matches within their age group.

A Tinder spokeswoman said they have the responsibility of constantly assessing different user experiences.

But even as Tinder is shutting the door on minors, the company is expanding to become more inclusive in other ways. The company recently announced that it's expanding to the transgender demographic.
