MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – With Saturday being the second 90 degree day in a row, people in the Twin Cities are looking for ways to beat the heat.

Luckily, many local pools and beaches are set to open.

In St. Paul, Como Park Regional Pool and Highland Park Aquatic Center will both open for the season. Open swim begins at 11 a.m. at both pools and lasts until 7 p.m.

The water parks in Minneapolis – North Commons and Jim Lupient – also open.

Lifeguards are on duty Saturday at the city's 12 authorized beaches. The beaches are located at Calhoun, Cedar, Harriet, Hiawatha, Nokomis and Theodore Wirth lakes.
