Tap Talk: Summit Announces Date, Lineup For Backyard Bash

Come and cheers Summit to 30 more years!

The annual Summit Backyard Bash celebrating the St. Paul brewery's birthday has been announced for 2016.

This year, the party will take place from 12 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10.

The all-day celebration will feature a variety of brews, including Summit's 30th anniversary beers, and cask tastings. Food from Pizza Luce, Anchor Fish and Chips, Bennett's, World Street Kitchen, Signature on Wheels and Black Forest will also be available.

Of course, the party wouldn't be complete without a little music.

This year's lineup is headlined by Bob Mould, and also features deM atlas, Apollo Cobra and more. To see the full lineup, view our Local Music Tap blog.

Consistent with Summit's dedication to community, a portion of the proceeds raised by the Backyard Bash will be donated to the Minnesota Music Coalition. MMC is a local nonprofit that supports independent artists. From previous Backyard Bashes alone, Summit has donated $50,000 to MMC.

Summit will also be partnering with Minneapolis-based Eureka Recycling to work toward making the event a zero-waste celebration.

Tickets cost $30 in advance, $40 day of. Guests must be 21-years-old to drink. Children 12-years-old and younger will be allowed in free of charge, and must remain under parental supervision.

For more information, or to purchase tickets, visit Summit online.
