Tap Talk: Tin Whiskers Celebrates 2 Years

On any given weekend there are countless breweries for craft beer lovers to patronize in the Twin Cities.

But it's not every weekend that one of those breweries celebrates a birthday.

This weekend, one is.

Tin Whiskers is turning two, and to celebrate they are hosting a birthday bash on Saturday, June 18.

The St. Paul brewery is celebrating two years in the beer business with a party and release of their first ever barrel-aged beer – Phase Shift 01: Tequila Barrel Aged Watts Wheat Wine.

They will also be releasing their annual anniversary beer, the Watts Wheat Wine, with a keepsake glass.

Additionally, every two hours a new concoction will find its way to the tap line. Some of which include the Wheatstone Bridge infused with Thais basil, Thay chilies and lemongrass; the Daisy Chain Saison infused with marjoram and lemon; and the Watts Wheat Wine infused with dates, grapes, mandarin orange, orange peel and lemon zest.

And, if the beer wasn't enough of a draw, Sawatdee Thai, Tiny Footprint Coffee and Legacy Chocolates, will be on hand serving up their specialties as well.

"Upon reaching the first of all milestones - opening your doors - imagining how things will be in the following years is an impossible task. The factors range from big to small and can change in the blink of an eye. So, simply appreciating where we are and how far we have come is reason to celebrate for us," President and Co-founder, Jeff Moriarty, said in a recent press release.

The Watts Wheat Wine will be released in 750mL bottles. There are 500 bottles available and a limit of two per customer.

The Tin Whiskers Two Year Anniversary celebration will begin at 12 p.m. The brewery is open until 11 p.m.
