79-Year-Old Man Killed In Lawnmower Incident Identified

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 79-year-old man is dead after being pinned under his riding lawnmower late Thursday morning in Atwater, according to the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies arrived at the scene just before noon near the 14000 block of 1st Avenue East, and found the man dead in a ditch underneath the mower.

On Friday, authorities identified the victim as George Frederick Klose, Jr. of Atwater.

A 51-year-old North Dakota man was killed Monday in a similar accident.
