4 Things To Know: Nurses Strike, Prince Suit & More

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Here's a look at the four things you need to know for Sunday, June 19, 2016.

Number One: 5,000 Nurses Strike

Thousands of Allina Health nurses began a strike Sunday morning.

The hospitals affected are Abbott Northwestern in Minneapolis, Mercy in Coon Rapids, the Phillips Eye Institute in Minneapolis, United in St. Paul, and Unity in Fridley.

Replacement nurses have been brought in to all the hospitals.

The main contract issue is health insurance.

Allina Health wants the nurses to be part of a corporate plan that the nurses say will mean higher deductibles and higher out of pocket costs.

That plan does include lower premiums for the nurses however.

Number Two: Accused Child Abuser Extradited To Minnesota

An accused cult leader from Minnesota has been extradited back to Pine County.

The news website Globo posted pictures after police in Brazil arrested Victor Barnard last year.

Barnard is accused of having sex with young girls in his religious camp near Finlayson, some as young as 12 years old.

Barnard faces 59 counts of criminal sexual conduct.

Pine County authorities believe there may be more victims.

Number Three: Purple Rain Suit

Sunday is the last day to see that famous purple suit that Prince wore in the "Purple Rain" movie.

The suit has been at the Minnesota History Center in St. Paul since Prince died. However, there are conservation concerns about extended light exposure to the suit.

So, it is going to be put away.

The Minnesota History Center is open from noon to 5 p.m.

Number Four: Chelsea Clinton's Son

Congratulations to Chelsea Clinton and her husband, Marc Mezvinsky. They are now the parents of a son.

The former first daughter tweeted: "Marc and I are overwhelmed with gratitude and love as we celebrate the birth of our son, Aidan Clinton Mezvinsky."

They also have a daughter named Charlotte Clinton Mezvinsky, who is almost 2 years old.
