Several St. Paul Schools Closed Due To Storms

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Several schools in St. Paul have canceled their summer classes due to severe storms that rolled through the metro Tuesday evening.

Washington Technology Magnet announced they have canceled summer school classes Wednesday due to a live wire that is in the loading zone of the school.

The High School for Recording Arts is also closed due to flooding.

Central Lutheran School of St. Paul will only have classes for pre-kindergarten and school age summer camps.

Several other St. Paul Public Schools were without power Tuesday night, as storms knocked out power for over 136,000 customers. Power has now been restored and classes will run as normal at all schools Wednesday morning, with the exception of Washington Tech.
