Community Gathers To Remember 2-Year-Old Killed In North Mpls.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- People came together Saturday to remember a 2-year-old boy who was killed by gunfire in north Minneapolis.

It happened yesterday at Lowry and Penn Avenues North. Surveillance video shows the minivan the boy was riding in.

There was gunfire exchanged between someone in the minivan and a car at the stoplight.

Saturday, people gathered at the shooting scene to remember the 2-year-old who died.

"I just want to end the violence," said one attendee, "and if I got to stand out here by myself and scream and get hoarse, then that's what I'm going to do for somebody to hear me and let them know that I'm tired."

A 15-month-old riding in the minivan was also shot and is expected to be OK.

Police say the shooting was between two groups of people who know each other.
