2 Injured In Douglas County Rollover Crash

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Two people are hospitalized after a rollover crash in Douglas County Saturday.

Deborah Ann Kempkes, 49, was traveling eastbound on County Road 73 north of Nelson, Minn., and failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection with County Road 9, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.

Amber Lynn Martinson, 28, was driving northbound on County Road 9. Kempkes' van hit Martinson's vehicle and both entered the ditch, the sheriff's office said. Kempkes' vehicle overturned.

The sheriff's office said Kempkes is in stable condition at the Douglas County Hospital, while Martinson is in critical condition at the St. Cloud Hospital.
