Alligator Spotted, Captured In Cass County

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- For the second time in a week, law enforcement officials found and captured an alligator in Minnesota.

In a Facebook post Tuesday afternoon, the Cass County Sheriff's Office said they received reports of an alligator at Hardy Lake in the rural town of Pillager, Minnesota on Tuesday. Authorities say they received similar reports in that area in the past.

Officers responded to the area and found the small alligator in the lake near the shoreline. Authorities secured the animal and transported it to the Safari North Wildlife Park near Brainerd.
