Father And 1-Year-Old Daughter Killed In Dakota County Crash
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A Cannon Falls family is broken after a deadly crash on Highway 56.
It happened near the city of Randolph in Dakota County on 280th street. Troopers say the driver of an SUV passed a car in the northbound lanes. The drivers of a minivan and a semi in the southbound lanes slammed on their brakes, causing the semi to jacknife and hit the SUV.
Jason Calderara, 31, and his 1-year-old named Melody were killed. His wife, 26-year-old Elizabeth Calderara, is in critical condition at the hospital. Their 9-year-old son Nicholas was seriously hurt.
