ME: Couple Found In Maplewood Motel Died From Cyanide

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office has determined the causes of death of two people found dead in a Maplewood hotel room last month.

Zoua Vang, 27, and Tou Chang Xiong, 24, were both found unresponsive at the Northernaire Motel on the afternoon of June 1.

Police say there were no signs of trauma on either Vang or Xiong.

The medical examiner announced Wednesday that both died from ingesting cyanide in an apparent mutual suicide.

Vang was from Osseo, Wisconsin, and Xiong was from LaCrosse.
