U.S. Bank Stadium Window Broken Days Before Ribbon Cutting
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Just as the finishing touches are put on U.S. Bank Stadium, the new home for the Minnesota Vikings, there's already been at least one repair to make before it's officially open.
Officials will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday for the $1.1 billion facility. That will be followed by tours throughout the weekend. More than 100,000 tickets have been claimed for those tours.
But at least one unexpected repair will have to take place as fans get their first look at U.S. Bank Stadium. According to "Vikesologist," a Vikings season ticket-holder on Twitter, someone broke a window near an entrance to U.S. Bank Stadium on Wednesday. A bed of rocks sits right next to the broken window, but it's not clear if one of those rocks was used to break the window.

It could also lead to an arrest for vandalism. Jenn Hathaway with the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority said they have filed a police report in the incident. Surveillance footage reportedly captured somebody grabbing a rock and breaking the window.
All windows for the stadium were custom-made, so it will take time for it to be replaced. The ribbon cutting for U.S. Bank Stadium will be held at 11 a.m. Friday.
