2 Dead Following Sideswipe Crash In Pennington Co.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities say two people died and another was seriously injured Saturday after two cars collided in northwestern Minnesota.

The State Patrol says the crash happened shortly before 8 p.m. in Pennington County, near the intersection of County Road 3 and Highway 59.

A Toyota Camry going west on the county road went through a stop sign and was sideswiped by a van travelling south on the highway.

Michael Buckley, 33, of Fargo, North Dakota, was the driver of the Camry. He died in the crash along with one of his passengers, 25-year-old Amber Danzeisen, of West Fargo, North Dakota.

A third passenger in the Camry, Kie Schultes, of West Fargo, suffered serious injuries.

All three people in the van suffered minor injuries.

The State Patrol says road conditions were dry at the time of the crash.
