Falcon Heights City Council To Host Community Meeting-Listening Session
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Falcon Heights City Council says it will be hosting a community meeting Wednesday evening to discuss the recent events surrounding the police shooting of Philando Castile.
The meeting, which is being called a Communithy Meeting-Listening Session, is taking place in lieu of the regular-scheduled city council meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday. It will take place at City Hall, located on 2077 West Larpenteur Ave.
All residents are invited to attend and contribute to the conversation, the city said.
Castile, a 32-year-old cafeteria worker, was fatally shot during a traffic stop in Falcon Heights, a suburb of St. Paul, and the aftermath of the shooting was live-streamed on Facebook. The video, recorded by Castile's girlfriend, quickly went viral and prompted international outrage.
