1 Critically Injured After Hit & Run Involving Stolen Vehicle
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – One person is critically injured after a hit and run involving a stolen vehicle in north Minneapolis Sunday.
The accident happened around 10 a.m. on Lowry Avenue North and Penn Avenue North.
The stolen vehicle was traveling southbound on Penn when it hit another vehicle traveling westbound on Lowry, Minneapolis police said.
The driver of the stolen vehicle fled the scene on foot, police said. A passenger in the vehicle stayed on scene.
The driver of the vehicle that was struck sustained minor injuries. The passenger of that vehicle received critical injuries, according to police. Both were transported to North Memorial Hospital.
The names of those involved have not been released.
