Survey: Parents Spend An Average Of $273 For School Per Child

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- It's getting to be the time for kids and parents to start thinking about going back to school. And a new survey shows back to school means spending more cash.

The survey by RetailMeNot.com shows that parents spend an average of $273 on school shopping – per kid.

Nearly a third of parents polled say back to school shopping puts a strain on their family finances.
