Study Links Reading To Longer Lifespan
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Book worms, rejoice!
A new study showed that people who are avid readers live longer.
A Yale University researcher found that book readers who spent up to three-and-a-half hours a week reading were 17 percent less likely to die over the 12-year follow-up period.
Those who read more than the three hour-mark were 23 percent less likely to die.
They also found that people who read books in general lived an average of two years longer than folks who don't.
