Mayor Coleman: St. Paul To Add 3,000 Jobs Over Next 3 Years

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The city of St. Paul hopes to boost job creation by adding 3,000 jobs over the next three years.

During the city's budget address, Mayor Chris Coleman said those jobs will be focused in areas with low income residents and with people of color.

He also addressed the ongoing protests against police. The city has created new police positions to better work with the community.

Additionally, Coleman is also proposing a 4 percent increase in the city's property tax levy, redesigning the Rondo Community Library and $1.7 million to combat Emerald Ash Borer.
