Wolves To Play 2 Games At Target Center In Preseason

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The Minnesota Timberwolves announced their 2016 preseason schedule Tuesday, with two opportunities for fans to see the team at Target Center.

The Wolves will play their final two preseason games at home. Oct. 19 the Memphis Grizzlies will come to Minneapolis, and Oct. 21 the Wolves will face the Charlotte Hornets at home.

The preseason kicks off on Oct. 8, with Karl-Anthony Towns and the Wolves heading to the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri, to take on the Miami Heat at 7 p.m. The team will travel to Charlotte, North Carolina, to take on the Hornets at 6 p.m.

The Wolves will then play two more off-site games. On Oct. 12 they will face the Denver Nuggets at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska and Oct. 15 they'll play the Heat again at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky. The Wolves will be the home team in Lincoln and serve as the visitor in Kansas City and Lousiville.

Their final preseason game away from home will be in Oklahoma City as they battle the Thunder at the Chesapeake Energy Center.

The broadcast schedule and on-sale date for tickets will be announced at a later date.

The Wolves finished 29-53 last year and drafted point guard Kris Dunn with the fifth pick in the draft.
