BBC Show Makes Music Video At Minn. Sculpture Park

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A Minnesota sculpture garden is getting worldwide attention.

WCCO's Mike Augustyniak and Natalie Nyhus visited Nyberg Park in Vining as part of our "Goin' to the Lake" series. The town has a population of about 70 people.

Now the British TV show "All Over the Place USA" on the BBC has created a music video about Ken Nyberg and his sculptures -- which has gone viral on the internet.

Many people will be visiting Vining this Saturday for Watermelon Day. There will be free watermelon starting at 11 a.m., and a big parade at 7 p.m. There is actually a watermelon sculpture featured in the music video.

The sculpture garden is not the only thing that has made Ken Nyberg famous. His daughter is astronaut Karen Nyberg. He made a sculpture of an astronaut suit in her honor.
