Sheriff: 1 Arrested After Assault In Afton

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Washington County Sheriff's Office is investigating after an incident in Afton, Minnesota Friday morning.

According to the sheriff's office, at 6:47 a.m. deputies responded to an address located on the 3200 block of St. Croix Tr. S. for a suspicious situation.

When deputies arrived, they learned there was an assault and an arrest was made. The sheriff's office says there was a large response to the incident because of unclear information and a mention of a firearm.

The investigation is active and no more information is expected at this time.
