Where To Get Your State Fair Freebies

FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn. (WCCO) -- The Minnesota State Fair is fun but it can be a little costly for families. Luckily there are several items you can get for free.

WCCO's Kate Raddatz went on a mission Thursday to find State Fair freebies

Everyone knows once you're in the fair you can find free exhibits and free music. But there are also some free food samples, bags and other things. You just have to know where to find them.

It is worth it. The University of Minnesota building does different giveaways, depending on the day.

One of the best parts of the State Fair, of course, is the food. We found a place where you can get some free samples. The German Specialty Imports stand at the International Bazar has candies that come in a small shell. You don't eat the shell, but rather lick out the candy.

At the Little Farm Hands Kemps booth, there are free temporary tattoos for the kids.

But they do have a complete list of all the freebies on the State Fair website.
