Survey: 1/5 Of UK Parents Regret Choice For Child's Name

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – When it comes to names, there can often be some regret or resentment.

Some parents may think twice about the names they bestowed upon their kids, while some kids may not like the name their parents gave them.

A new survey shows nearly a fifth of parents in the UK regret the name they chose for their child. The main reason was how often the name was used by others.

One mother said she started to regret naming her daughter Elsa because, due to the movie "Frozen," it became so popular.

Another said, "My child hates his name, and makes me feel bad for choosing it."
