MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – We all know about the big fair happening in St. Paul this weekend, but there is another large festival happening south of the metro – The Renaissance Festival!
And it is one of the events you can check out during the long holiday weekend.
The Minnesota Renaissance Festival is celebrating its 46th season!
This weekend’s theme is Passport to Adventure. Venture through the International Bazaar to find unique treasures, compete in a tattoo competition or enter the pirate costume contest.
The festival is held in Shakopee and is open every weekend through Oct. 2.

The Minnesota Run for Beer series comes to Summit Brewing this Saturday.
All participants receive a Summit craft brew, a collector’s pint glass and all sorts of other swag!
The race takes place at 9 a.m. Saturday outside of Summit Brewing Company.

The Duluth/Superior Pride Festival is celebrating 30 years being held on Labor Day weekend.
The celebration is four days long, Thursday through Sunday, with events and activities taking place all weekend.
