Paisley Park To Hold Job Fair In Preparation For Public Tours

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Prince's Paisley Park in Chanhassen is expecting thousands of visitors when it opens its doors for public tours in October, and a lot of help will be needed.

So, on Tuesday, officials with Paisley Park say a job fair will be held on Sept. 8 and Sept. 9 at the Chanhassen Dinner Theater. The fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.

"This will be an unprecedented employment opportunity allowing those hired to be a part of the opening day team that will welcome the world to Minnesota and usher in a new era for hospitality and tourism in Chanhassen, along with the Minneapolis-St. Paul region as a whole," a representative of Paisley Park said in statement.

A variety of full-time and part-time positions will be available in several departments and include: general manager, tour operations, archives, merchandise, food & beverage, ecology, security and market, sales and public relations.

Paisley Park officials say experience in the tourism and hospitality industry – in addition to knowledge and understanding of Prince's legacy – is beneficial, but not necessary.

Applicants are asked to bring a completed application, found here, and a resume to the job fair. Anyone unable to attend the job fair, should download the application and email it here.

The 70-minute self-guided tour, which costs $38.50 in addition to fees, includes access to Prince's recording and mixing studios, rehearsal rooms, video editing suites, sound stage, concert hall and his private NPG Music Club.

The Chanhassen Dinner Theater is located at 501 W 78th Street.
