Randy Moss Gives Trent Dilfer 'Death Stare' Over Kaepernick Comments

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Former Minnesota Vikings receiver Randy Moss is now an NFL analyst with ESPN, and he had quite the debut on Sunday.

Moss was sitting alongside former quarterback Trent Dilfer as Dilfer gave his thoughts on San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who put himself in the recent national spotlight for not standing for the National Anthem before games. The move is in protest to recent alleged police brutality against African-Americans.

The move prompted a few other NFL players before Week 1 action on Sunday to not acknowledge the anthem by either sitting or taking a knee on the sidelines while other players stood. It was especially visible on Sunday, the 15th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

Dilfer said he respects what Kaepernick is doing and the passion that he has for the protest on the issue, but says he does not respect the fact that Kaepernick put himself and his stance above his team. Dilfer said Kaepernick should be quiet and used poor judgment in putting social justice ahead of his team.

Moss could only respond by glaring at Dilfer with a "death stare," almost in disbelief at what he was saying.
