Police: Foley Man Found Dead In Lion’s Park

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The Foley Police Department and Benton County Sheriff’s Office are investigating after finding a deceased male in Lion’s Park on Monday.

According to the Foley Police Department, around 6 p.m. authorities responded to a call of an apparent body found in Lion’s Park.

Upon arrival, officials found the body of an adult male. Evidence found at the scene suggested that the male had been dead for several days.

The body was transported to the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office for further examination and a cause of death.

The body was identified Tuesday as 35-year-old Jason Beaufeaux of Foley.

Authorities say his cause of death is under investigation, as are the circumstances leading up to his death. The Foley Police Department says the public is not in any danger.
